Alicante-Elche Airport
- Aeropuerto de Alicante-Elche

Alicante-Elche Airport, originally named El Altet when it opened in 1967, is the 6th busiest airport in Spain. It is very modern and well oriented. In 2011 the two terminals were closed and moved to a brand new terminal building. The airport is situated between the South of Alicante and East of Elche (Elx), inside the Elche municipality, next to the Mediterranean coast. It carries over 10 million visitors a year.

This airport was the start and end of our trip to Costa Blanca, Valencia and Murcia. We picked our rental car there, drove to Alicante's city center (and left it at Valencia Airport 10 years later). It is much cheaper to fly to Alicante then directly to Valencia.
