Dubai skylines and views - part 1
Sheikh Zayed Road, New Downtown, Business Bay, Deira, Old Dubai, Jumeirah Beach, Palm Island

Dubai has one of the largest, tallest and most famous skylines in the world! It even includes the world's tallest building, Burj Khalifa! Some of the world's tallest hotels and residential buildings can all be found there, with some of the most strange and innovative designs. The most dramatic parts of the skyline are situated along the busy highway Sheikh Zayed Road, with supertall skyscrapers standing on each side of the road in a very thin line, immediately bordered by very lowrise buildings. The tallest parts of it are the Financial District cluster, New Downtown where Burj Khalifa is situated, Business Bay, Internet City and in the south where Dubai Marina and Jumeirah Lakes Towers are standing on each side of the road.

There is also a minor cluster on the Deira side, the old part just next to Dubai Creek. These buildings don't seem so tall today, but they were the only skyscraper cluster in Dubai until the late 1990s. Many of the tallest buildings in Dubai are just a few years old, standing on spots that were just desert 10 years ago! At Jumeirah Beach, you can only find a few skyscrapers, like the famous Burj Al Arab. There is also a growing cluster in Northeast Dubai. The neighbouring city Sharjah, North of Dubai, also has a major skyline.

This section focus on the central parts of Dubai.
