The Hague skyline

CITY CENTER, HAAGSE HOUT, SCHEVENINGEN

The Hague has now the 2nd best skyline in the Netherlands (after Rotterdam). It is very impressive for a European city of its size, especially considering that most of the skyscrapers have been constructed right in the new city center. Before 2003, when the Hoftoren (142m) was completed, the city only had a few highrises with around 20 floors. In 2007 the striking Het Strijkjizer, that has an observation deck, was completed. And in 2012, the new tallest and 2nd tallest buildings, and the 4th tallest buildings so far have been completed. There are mainly 2 clusters, just West (the new city center) and just East (Haagse Hout) of the central station.
