LATEST ADDITIONS (June 2008): Photos from my journey to Budapest, Warsaw and Krakow!

World Travel Images is a website about my travels with the emphasis on architecture and buildings, especially tall ones. But the site doesn't only show photos from my journeys, it also tells some facts about buildings and history of places shown in the pictures. The images are capturing both streetscapes from modern and large districts of cities, details of small buildings, palaces and skyscrapers, sky pictures from aircrafts and nature. The first part of this website, the America section, was finished in 2003. I have since then added a lot of pictures from Europe and the website is increasing, especially with pictures from the Öresund region, as I live in Malmö. The most remarkable things about World Travel Images, that makes it differ from other travel/architecture websites, is that almost all photos are followed by a short text, that tells a story about it. The other thing is that instead of making clickable thumbnails, I have (since most people have pretty fast connections today) decided to present every picture as it is in the size that is fitting the picture the best and thus making it easier to understand the whole context of the place that is presented on the page. Another thing that makes World Travel Images stand out among other pages, is that I always give my honest opinions and also show pictures of bad sides in the cities, but with the emphasis on the good sides.

Note that I own the copyright to almost all the photos. So if you want to use any photo for commercial use, please contact me. If you want to hotlink to a picture at forums such as Skyscraperpage, there is no need to ask for permission. Almost all of the pictures I have taken by myself. Unfortunately I didn´t buy the comparatively good digicam that I own today until late spring 2004. So many of the pictures are far from as good quality as they should be. However I thought that they where worth putting on the site. If you are very sensitive for bad quality, just look at Copenhagen, Warsaw, Krakow, Paris, Prague, Berlin, London, Gothenburg, Malmö, Helsingborg, Lund, Copenhagen, Ladonia and Barcelona. California is also Ok. And some cities I have visited, as Washington DC, Baltimore, Amsterdam, the Hague, Hamburg, Rostock and Lübeck I unfortunately don´t have any photos of since I hadn't started to take photos back then. All population figures represents city population and metro population to give an estimation of the size of the cities. They are from 2002, 2004 or 2005 and the sources are worldcityphotos.org and Wikipedia.

Enjoy your journey!
