Altstadt (Old Town), Mosel

There are lots of beautiful lanes, fountains, squares, sculptures and churches in Koblenz Altstadt (Old Town). Münzplatz is the most central square, where you find some funny human statues, and Am Plan, another square where you find beautiful baroque buildings. Koblenz is a city of many churches. Altes Kaufhaus (Old Trading House) is a beautiful building facing both the Mosel River and the square Florinsmarkt on the Old Town side. At Jesuitenplatz you find Rathaus Koblenz (the Town Hall). Görresplatz is a big square with a high sculpture/boat fountain.
Liebfrauenkirche (Church of Our Lady) is a landmark catholic church in the Old Town, with Romanesque towers. Florinskriche is a another church, as well as the gothic Herz-Jesu-Kirche.
